Waco, Tx. – For the third straight week, a LSUA women's soccer player was honored as a Red River Athletic Conference's Player of the Week, as Danielle Shows brought home the offensive award, riding the strength of her first career goal as a General.

Shows, a senior forward from Brandon, Mississippi, set up LSUA's first goal in the Generals 3-0 win over LSU Shreveport on Saturday. She sent in the cross in the 52nd minute, which Alexandra Van Amburgh shot into the net to put the Generals up 1-0, which would prove to be the game-winner. She followed that up eight minutes later with her first career goal in 28 matches as a General, as she took in Brandi Ferguson's pass and beat the Pilot goalkeeper for the 2-0 lead.

The goal and assist more than doubled her career offensive output, as she collected not just her first career goal, but also her third career assist during Saturday's match.

This is the third straight week where a LSUA player has won a RRAC weekly honor. Shows follows midfielder Jessica Sanchez as last week's RRAC Offensive Player of the Week. The week before that, goalkeeper Cecilie Mortensen was named the conference's Defensive Player of the Week.

Shows and the rest of the Generals (5-2-1, 1-0 RRAC) are back in action Thursday afternoon against St. Thomas. First touch against the Celts (2-2-1, 1-0 RRAC) is set for 1:00 P.M. at Generals Field.
